Summer is the peak period for the use of diesel generator sets, and the indoor and outdoor temperatures are relatively high. If the external temperature is too high, it will lead to an increase in the temperature of the set, making it difficult to dissipate heat. Poor heat dissipation poses a great threat to diesel generator sets, so how can we prevent it better?

1. Correctly use a closed cooling system. The cooling system should use high-quality coolant with anti-corrosion, anti boiling, anti freezing, and waterproof properties, and must be sealed during use to achieve good cooling effects.

2.Keep the internal and external parts of the cooling system clean

This is one of the important conditions for improving heat dissipation efficiency. When the external surface of the radiator is contaminated with soil, oil, or the heat sink is deformed due to collision, and there is scale, sand, or oil accumulation in the cooling water tank of the unit, it will affect the heat dissipation effect.

3. Maintain sufficient coolant volume

When the engine is cold, the coolant level should be between the highest and lowest markings on the expansion tank. If the liquid level is below the minimum mark of the expansion tank, it should be added in a timely manner. Attention: The coolant in the expansion tank cannot be filled up and there should be room for expansion.

4. Keeping the tension of the fan tape moderate, if the fan tape is too loose, causing the water pump speed to be too low, it will affect the circulation of coolant and accelerate the wear of the tape. However, if the tape is too tight, it will also cause the water pump bearings to wear. Additionally, there should be no oil stains on the tape. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check and adjust the tension of the fan tape. 

5. Avoid overloading the unit. Overloading the unit can easily lead to rapid aging of internal components that exceed the unit's load-bearing capacity, which can cause thermal deformation of the components.
