Choose the appropriate power:

    1. Ordinary electrical appliances, such as computers, televisions, lights, and lighting fixtures, are calculated by adding their rated power to the total power consumption;

    2. Heating type electrical appliances: microwave ovens, water heaters, water burners, induction cookers, etc., with a power of 1.5 to 2 times calculated as the total power consumption;

    3. Inductive electrical appliances: air conditioners, water pumps, refrigerators, air compressors, motors, etc., with power calculated at 2.5 to 3 times the rated power=total power consumption.

    Note: 

    The power size of a diesel generator set is generally selected based on the number and total power of the electrical equipment used. The power of the generator does not simply add up the power of all electrical equipment, but also needs to consider the starting method of the electrical equipment. The general starting methods are divided into direct starting, step-down starting, or soft starting. Therefore, when selecting the power of a generator set, in addition to considering the sum of all electrical power, it is also necessary to consider the starting power of each electrical appliance.
